There have been several good summer themed art shows in New York, but Summer At Its Best at the Michael Rosenfeld Gallery, was my favorite.
With all my wandering around galleries in New York, I have a few that I try to stop into on every visit. Michael Rosenfeld Gallery has museum quality exhibitions, and the staff could not be nicer. I love seeing what they have hanging in their office, and they always let me look. I learn about a new artist each visit.

I had posted about the gorgeous Beauford Delaney exhibition they had this past winter, and the exhibition catalog is now available for purchase. I came home with it, and it is a beautiful publication.

I first stopped at this painting to send a photo to two of my kids. My daughter lives in Brighton Beach, and my youngest son had just visited her to watch the famous Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest. Then I realized it was a Robert Colescott painting, so it was an overall winning combination!
