Thank you!

It has been one year since I started Woman Seeking Art. My first post was on Viola Frey, whose show I had gone to see last Fall in Sonoma, California. While I did get to travel quite a bit to see art, it all came to a screeching halt in February of this year. A global pandemic was not exactly part of my original plan for an art/travel blog.

Still, I have persevered, and this blog has continued to be an important part of my life and way to communicate with friends old and new, while sheltering in place. This post is my 58th, and coincidentally this past week womanseekingart.com passed the 10,000 total views mark. So thank you for everything: for reading a lot or a little; for following on Instagram or Facebook; for “liking” and commenting; for telling your friends or sharing a link; and most of all for all the wonderful encouragement.

Analia Saban, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Have a nice day, 2016

If the world hadn’t changed, I’d be on an airplane heading to Miami for Art Basel and the satellite fairs. I loved posting about all the Miami shows I went to last December.

As exciting as it is to travel and see art, among readers, my most popular post so far has been one on a show by Seattle’s beloved Fay Jones, just a few miles from my home.

I have a large backlog of posts to share, which I promise to finally get to in the days and weeks ahead.

I hope you have seen something you liked, discovered an artist you didn’t know about, or been inspired in some small way by the art you found on my blog. Here’s to the next year of seeking, and the next 10,000 views and beyond. Thank you!

  1. Thanks Ann. Reading your blog has expanded my skimpy knowledge of contemporary art. I’ve seen some cool stuff here.
